Mad River Valley Community Business Builder’s

 

Meeting minutes 6/22/10

 

8:00 Waitsfield Inn

 

8 members were present. We had our one minute presentations

and some discussion surrounding different businesses represented.

Thank you’s were offered for business connections and successes.

Several people thanked Geri Procacinni from Mad River Valley

Travel for her efforts in planning successful trips about the world.

 Some ideas for marketing group efforts were discussed.

A gift basket for Realitors with info about our businesses

to new home owners. A placemat with our business ads at

local restaurants. At our next meeting we shall brainstorm

again and try and decide what ideas we will or will not move forward on.

 Thoughts on summer discussions and ways to bring more

people to our group also brought up.

 Jean Wry has begun a Linkedin group for the Mad River

Valley Business Builders online. We are encouraged

to make a profile and look up the group and join. This

will be a great venue for future communications so it is

important for all to be connected there.

or www.mrvcommunitybusinessbuilders.com

 were a list of people that have been to meetings

with phone numbers and e-mails can be kept.

It is the responsibility of each person to go there

and add their own name and profile. This

can be linked to the chamber website for easy

access to our business news, which we can update

as often as we like. One of the problems with the

website has been, no easy group communication

which we will likely solved with Linked In.

 We discussed sharing responsiblities for the group. 5 different

roles were presented and all were covered by members present.

 

Victoria has offered to lead, Robin will close

meetings.

Vicky will be caring for the checkbook

Geri is making efforts to have a summer social.

David will be sure we have a notice out about our

meetings weekly

Tamara will be in charge of attendance records.

Robin will be doing minutes and posting them

on our website, which we can send new member

prospects to view our mission statement etc.

and use in notices.

 We are all encouraged to invite new people to

our networking group. Guests are welcome

anytime.
